Weideprojekt und Terrasse Grüner Bogen Paunsdorf

The striking triangular shape of the terrace extends into the pasture area in the north of the public park. It was completed in 2004 as the first phase of construction, together with the pasture project on the former maneuvering grounds. Gently sloping, it rises 1.50 m above the ground at its highest point. There, on a square area at the bend in the circular path, a square of 20 ancient redwoods creates a special place. A continuous light-colored wall edge separates the lawns of the landscaped public park from the inaccessible pastureland, which is populated by wild horses and water buffalo and kept open, forming a boundary line along the entire length of the terrace. A circular path around the pasture allows visitors to view and observe nature in this varied landscape.
The Bürgerpark terrace and the pastureland exemplify the duality of nature conservation and recreational use in the Grüner Bogen Paunsdorf. This principle is applied in various design aspects of the development of the entire Grüner Bogen.
